Carignano del Sulcis of great quality and concentration, the Giba "6 Mura" is produced from almost century-old vines with very low yields per hectare. A powerful red and complex, its wine is made in part in steel tanks and partly in French oak vats, practices that lead to a wine capable of surprising not only for the warmth and the Mediterranean soul that is able to express but also for a truly uncommon longevity, characteristic to be discovered with the passing of the seasons.

The winery "Giba" was founded in 2002 under the name "6 Mura", following the bet of five childhood friends, originating in Giba, all united by the same passion for Carignano. The vineyards of the winery extend Giba in Sulcis on clay and limestone soils of the areas of Calasetta, Sant'Antioco Masainas, Nuxis and Giba, in an area called If Murasa, so nicknamed 6 Mura. In these territories the red grape of Carignano is the prtagonista and, in the vineyards sapling ungrafted rooted in the sands of Portopino and Calasetta, also reached in some cases a hundred years of age. The objective of "Giba - 6 mura" cellar is always been to produce a traditional Carignan, without the use of too much wood and avoiding the barrique. The snug fit of the territory's characteristics made it possible to produce the characteristic expressions born of the perfect interaction between the soil, the vine and in the cellar. In this way, the winery was able to give life to a wine with a strong territorial dimension, away from the international and standardized taste, but, on the contrary, typical expression of Sulcis, which preserves all the aromas and fragrances.
