For three generations the Lageder family has cultivated Lagrein grapes near the Lindenburg palace with the utmost dedication and passion, located in the area called "In Villa" in Bolzano. This is an alluvial territory bordered by the Talvera river and has always been considered the best place for the cultivation of Lagrein. In fact, here you can get the best expressions, both in terms of elegance and power and at the same time guarantee the typical fruity notes of this wine. Furthermore, the experienced hands of the Lageder family give this wine a unique identity. Respect for nature both in the times and in the ways make man in perfect symbiosis with the host environment.
The Lagrein vineyards of the Capolavori line have an average age of 50 years. Being in Bolzano in one of the hottest areas of Italy, the typical Trentino pergola breeding has been maintained, which allows to protect the grapes from excessive solar radiation.
The malolactic fermentation takes place in steel tanks and then rests for 15 months in barriques.
Very rich wine, cherry in color with ruby ??red reflections. The nose has a wide bouquet of fruit and spices. Full-bodied, vigorous and tannic wine. Suitable for long aging in the bottle. It prefers dishes of good structure.
