In the Cuneo wine production, Antica Cascina Conti di Roero stands out for a range of products that are the pure expression of the terroir and for the adoption of viticulture techniques that guarantee respect for the biodiversity of the area.
Daniela and Luigi, head of the company, have among their favorite songs "Starway to heaven" by Led Zeppellin because it recalls the vineyards surrounding Cascina Valmerra that start from the bottom up creating a real stairway to the sky.
From these rows we obtain the vine with which Nebbiolo d'Alba is produced, the grapes are harvested by hand, vinified in the tank and aged in cask and the bottle.
A classy Nebbiolo that emerges for its aromas and ambiguity, to be enjoyed on an autumn evening when the first fresh ones arrive.

The Antica Cascina dei Conti di Roero estate was established in the early 1950s, when the Olivero family, Danielas parents, bought the Valmenera farmhouse in Vezza dAlba. They added the land and vineyards already owned in the Certuti region, better known as Sru, in the municipal districts of Canale and Monteu Roero, now a UNESCO World Heritage core zone. In the beginning, it was a typical farm, cultivating fruit, vines and cereal crops, as well as keeping livestock. The turnaround came in the early Seventies, when the decision was made to focus exclusively on viticulture and winemaking.
The land is in our blood.?Our idea of winegrowing can be explained in a single word: authenticity. This is a concept that we apply in the vineyard, in the cellar and in our life. Today we make about 100 thousand bottles. This isnt a job, its our way of life.
