The Valtellina Superiore Inferno Fiamme Antiche DOCG tells of the granite rock that heats up in the sun and hovers in the air like a flame that saturates the nostrils of its inebriating perfume. This heat is the secret of the perfect ripening of the bunches that come exclusively from the steep and sunny slopes of the Municipality of Poggiridenti.
Nebbiolo with a very fine tannin and a lively freshness, which tells the nose of alpine herbs and the land from which it comes. Its color is reminiscent of the shades of the "Reds of Maranello", but the steep road of "Arboleé" that leads to the vineyard from the third hairpin bend of the "Inferno Circuit", seems not to be suitable for sports cars ...
The Inferno "Fiamme Antiche" by Ar.Pe.Pe. It is a precise red wine, clean with a thin tannic texture that, combined with the flavor, make its tasting really satisfying, elegant and territorial.
The color, garnet red with orange reflections, immediately suggests that we are facing a great mountain Nebbiolo that opens on notes of cherry, plum in spirit, nutmeg, cloves with a finish of rich spiciness.

Year of starter: 1860
Winemaker: Isabella Pelizatti Perego
In 1984, Arturo Pelizzatti Perego, bolstered by the experience gained in his father’s and grandfather’s firm, decided to create ARPEPE. His aim was to realize the full potential of the unique Valtellina terroir with all the pride and determination required for such an ambitious goal.
To do so, Arturo started producing long-aging Nebbiolo wines according to the rules of the oldest traditions.
Today, Isabella, Emanuele and Guido continue their father’s work as the fifth generation of winemakers and growers. In just a few years, thanks to careful technological innovations and the choice of a young and passionate team, Arturo’s dream has come true: his rare wines are once again a major point of reference on the national and international wine scene.
