L'Archetipo is an Apulian company with more than sixty years of history, in which the eco-sustainable approach has always been the basis of the production philosophy.
Organic, biodynamic and lastly synergic agriculture have been integrated into a cellar that has become a reference point for all the natural movement that has developed in Puglia in recent years.
Plant protection products, chemical products are banned and the vine grows freely with minimal human intervention.
Starting from these bases, Primitivo Aglianico is born, a red capable of making the strong and vigorous spirit of the typical Campania grape coexist with the softness of the Apulian Primitivo.
A real exam for this winery, passed with flying colors, which gives us a great thickness label perfectly balanced between tannins, freshness and persistence.
We can define it a meditation wine to be appreciated during a typical autumn rainy day.

Sentori di frutta matura e frutta secca, leggere note di caffè tostato.
Al palato è equilibrato, di buona tannicità e persistenza.
Ottimo con i piatti della tradizione gastronomica pugliese e con tutte le pietanze vegetariane strutturate. Da provare con selezione di salumi e formaggi locali.

REFINEMENT | In acciaio per 24 mesi su fecce fini dove avviene la fermentazione malolattica. Successivamente viene travasato in grandi botti di legno per 18 mesi, segue affinamento e riposo in bottiglia per almeno 6 mesi. Minima aggiunta di anidride solforosa in pre-imbottigliamento. |

WINEMAKING | Primitivo e Aglianico vengono vinificati separatamente: dopo pigia-diraspatura meccanica, il mosto fermenta spontaneamente grazie all'aggiunta di pied de cuve contenente lieviti indigeni, gli unici in grado di interpretare al meglio il nostro terroir. L'unione dei due vini avviene a fine fermentazione alcolica (20 ? 30 giorni circa, le vinacce vengono separate grazie a pressatura soffice) e prima della fermentazione malo-lattica in maniera da assicurare un ottimale connubio tra i due vitigni. Decantazione naturale senza chiarificanti. Non filtrato. |

Francesco Valentino Dibenedetto, agronomist and farmer by birth, son of Carlo Dibenedetto, winemakers always. Since the 80s the company began the conversion to organic farming but he finds that the vitality of his lands does not proceed as it should and that is why since 2000 he moved to biodynamic thanks to the studies on Rudolf Steiners cultural legacy. After a few years of biodynamic he realizes that there is still something that lacks and therefore, understanding the thought of Masanobu Fukuoka, finally come to practice sustainable agriculture, in which the synergies between all the ecosystem are linked. This is the synergistic agriculture, with which we made no more the biggest mistake that still today we do, practicing all the other types of agriculture ( from conventional, to organic, to biodynamic): plowing. This new adventure develops together with his wife Anna Maria and their four children: Carlo Nazareno, Domenico, Andrea e Maria Clelia. Thaks to their constant and responsible care it has been possible to build the wine cellar, entirely made in tuff, where with precise climatic conditions its possible to enhance their precious grapes without using chemicals. The new generations entrance in the company, under the leadership of Francesco Valentinos large experience, is likely to provide impetus and vitality to LArchetipo.
