L'Archetipo is an Apulian company in which synergic agriculture is practiced, a production philosophy in which all synergies are triggered by nature and do not require human intervention.
The cellar grows native vines such as Primitivo, Aglianico and Negroamaro but also dedicates itself to the rediscovery of ancient vines such as Marasco and Susumaniello.

The Mystic Primitive stands out for its personality and character, a pure red expression of the Apulian land, soft and powerful.
The grapes are harvested by hand and the territory on which they are born does not undergo processing through the plow, only indigenous yeasts are used in the fermentation of the grapes and the wine is not subjected to filtration or clarification.

A wine that contains all the passion of the Dibenedetto family made in full respect of nature that creates intimacy, to drink during a summer night together with the best company of friends.

GROUND Terra rossa con notevole presenza di pietrisco siliceo-calcareo (fino a 6 mt di profondità), a cui segue argilla calcarea fessurata (per altri 2 mt); ricco di humus.
REFINEMENT In acciaio per 18 mesi su fecce fini. Successivamente vie-ne travasato in grandi botti di legno per 24 mesi, segue affinamento e riposo in bottiglia per almeno 8 mesi. Minima aggiunta di anidride solforosa in pre-imbottigliamento.

WINEMAKING Dopo pigia-diraspatura meccanica, il mosto fermenta spontaneamente grazie all'aggiunta di pied de cuve contenente lieviti indigeni, gli unici in grado di interpretare al meglio il nostro terroir. Dopo 8 mesi di macerazione, a fine fermentazione alcolica e malo-lattica, si separano le vinacce mediante una leggera pressatura. Decantazione naturale senza chiarificanti. Non filtrato.

Francesco Valentino Dibenedetto, agronomist and farmer by birth, son of Carlo Dibenedetto, winemakers always. Since the 80’s the company began the conversion to organic farming but he finds that the vitality of his lands does not proceed as it should and that is why since 2000 he moved to biodynamic thanks to the studies on Rudolf Steiner’s cultural legacy. After a few years of biodynamic he realizes that there is still something that lacks and therefore, understanding the thought of Masanobu Fukuoka, finally come to practice sustainable agriculture, in which the synergies between all the ecosystem are linked. This is the synergistic agriculture, with which we made no more the biggest mistake that still today we do, practicing all the other types of agriculture ( from conventional, to organic, to biodynamic): plowing. This new adventure develops together with his wife Anna Maria and their four children: Carlo Nazareno, Domenico, Andrea e Maria Clelia. Thaks to their constant and responsible care it has been possible to build the wine cellar, entirely made in tuff, where with precise climatic conditions it’s possible to enhance their precious grapes without using chemicals. The new generation’s entrance in the company, under the leadership of Francesco Valentino’s large experience, is likely to provide impetus and vitality to “L’Archetipo”.
