Details of wine
This wine based on Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is the perfect synthesis of the biodynamic project started by the owners of the Ausonia winery located in Atri in the province of Teramo. As explained to us by Simone and Francesca, biodynamic agriculture is not only a soil cultivation system, but it is a way of "living" the land. The fundamental attitudes are the prevention and the respect of the whole ecosystem gravitating around the vineyard, which inevitably will then be reflected in the personality and naturalness of the wine itself. The grapes from the oldest vineyards in the cellar are harvested manually in the middle of October and carry out the phases of maceration and fermentation in steel tanks where the fruit and freshness are preserved. In the glass it has a ruby ??red with violet reflections. The flavor is full, harmonious and with the right tannins, with hints of red fruits and licorice. Red meats and mature cheeses are the most suitablcombinations.

CELLAR
Name: Ausonia
Start-up year: 2008
Cultivated hectares: 11
Winemaker name: Simone Binelli
Address: C.da Nocella - Atri (TE)
Web Site: www.ausoniawines.com
It all began in 2005 when Simone Binelli followed his great passion, wine, and with the support of his wife he enrolled in Viticulture and Enology at the University of Florence. A path that led him within a few years to abandon the job of pharmacist and begin to cultivate the love for the countryside and for the natural beauty of Abruzzo. Thus Ausonia was born, a small and fascinating reality in Atri, in the province of Teramo, a winery that could not but favor the typical varieties of the territory, from pecorino to Trebbiano to, of course, to Montepulciano. Today, Simone's wines are particularly elegant and expressive, faithful witnesses to the territory and to the vintage that saw them being born. Magnetic wines, like its history.
