Details of wine

Avignonesi is one of the most famous Tuscan wineries that have made the history of wine in Italy. Founded in 1974, in 2009 it was acquired by Virginie Saverys who focused on a production based on organic and biodynamic methods.
Alleanza is a group of six Nobile producers - Salcheto, Poliziano, La Braccesca, Dei, Boscarelli and Avignonesi - who share the dedication to the rediscovery of Nobile. The six oenologists coordinated their respective works and each one created a 100% Sangiovese Nobile cru specifically for this project.
The Vino Nobile di Monteluciano Poggetto di Sopra 2015 presents itself with a bouquet with spicy and raspberry notes, cloves and carcadome. The taste reveals a silky tannin with a persistent finish. Excellent with red meats and game.

When in 1377 Gregory XI moved the papal seat from Avignon to Rome, some French families followed him in Italy, one of them, probably for simplicity, began to be called "Avignonesi". Avignonesi consists of four wine-producing estates: Le Capezzine, I Poggetti, La Selva and La Lombarda. In total they comprise 225 hectares of open ground, 109 ha of vineyards and 3 ha of olive groves.
