Scapigliato is the snack wine produced by the Cooperativa Agricola Sociale Calafata. Cellar of Lucca that reclaims abandoned land and people socially on the edge to give them a second life.
Some early and aromatic varieties of Muscat of Hamburg, Ciliegiolo, Aleatico, Sangiovese combine to create what, if it were not for a little alcohol and a little tannin, would be a grape juice.
A wine halfway between a red and a rosé, fragrant, delicate, with low alcohol content and therefore destined to finish quickly.
A red to be served cold during a summer afternoon, it can also be combined with Livornese caciucco to refute the now ancient belief that red does not match with fish.

Its name comes from the master caulkers who, thanks to their knowledge, a rope and some pitch, could create safe and waterproof boats.
