Description

Details of wine

We are in one of the most prestigious areas for the production of Champagne, in the heart of the Reims mountain natural park where vineyards and forests alternate creating an unique ecosystem in the world.
The scenario is completed by soils composed of chalk, clay and sand that transmit quality to the vines creating high quality wines.

The Maison Canard-Duchene has its roots in the second half of the nineteenth century and since then has maintained the peculiarities of a family run business that has married certified organic cultivation.

We find all the tradition and passion for their work in their Champagne, among which stands out this Champagne Parcelle 181, where 181 identifies the registered parcel of the territory from which it originates.

Complex and delicate champagne obtained from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.

A Classic Method, the different ones of which are vinified separately and which perfectly expresses all the characteristics of the terroir.

Our cellars are on the historic estate in the small Champagne village of Ludes, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims National Park and on the famous Route de Champagne. Maison Canard-Duchene invites you to discover some of the ancient cellars of the Chateau de Ludes. Hand-carved in the 19th century, our cellars cover 6 km and are on 4 levels between 12 and 38 meters deep. The optimum dampness and temperature mean our Champegnes achieve a unique style and maturity, the perfect illustration of our Cellar Master's expertise.
