Soil The soil has a clay and limestone structure with a good presence of silica skeleton.
Vinification Fermentation takes place in stainless steel thermo-conditioned 50 hl and 100 hl vats, followed by a maceration on the skins for two to three weeks.
Harvest The grapes are harvested by hand and then selected on the table sorting in the cellar.
Aging Part of the aging is in tonneaux and part in of Slavonian 20 hl oak barrels. Final ageing in bottle for at least six months before release.

The Azienda Agricola Castello di Radda is located on the hills eastern hills facing the town of Radda in Chianti, and under the Castello di Volpaia borough. The vineyards are exposed from the south-west to the south-east with clay and limestone soils of a medium texture, with a good skeleton percentage, particularly suited for the cultivation of Sangiovese and Canaiolo. Castello di Radda was acquired by the Beretta family in 2003 with the goal of increasing their interest in the wine sector, where they are already active with the historical family company, Lo Sparviere which produces the precious Franciacorta sparkling wines. The project is realized with the recovery, in qualitative terms, of the 45 hectares of vineyards and the construction of a large cellar built according to the plans of the architect Spartaco Mori.
