Details of wine
Francois Chidaine is an exponent of the biodynamic approach and production without chemicals. Today it is a very important reality and among its productions we find the Touraine Rouge 2017 obtained from Côt 40%, Pineau d'Aunis 40% and Cabernet Franc 20%. A very interesting and pleasant bottle, made by manual collection, fermentation by indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks at low temperature. Ruby red color, spicy aromas and fruity taste with elegant tannins. Long and spidy finish with a note of anise.

Welcome to "Montlouis-sur-Loire", the birthplace of Domaine François CHIDAINE, which now covers 37 hectares. The white chenin reigns supreme over the 20 hectares of Montlouis and the 10 hectares of Vouvray. The vines that thrive in more than fifty plots have been grown organically since 1992 and biodynamically since 1999. They take root sometimes on clay and flint soils and sometimes on clay and limestone soils that transmit a palette of nuances to the grapes... The remaining 7 hectares are planted with Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Grolleau, Cabernet Franc, Côt and Pineau d'Aunis a little further east in the Cher Valley under the Touraine appellation.
