CELLAR
Name: Croatto
Address: Via d'Orzano, 3 - Buttrio (UD)
Born at the end of the nineties from the passion of two brothers Piero and Mària Croatto, owners of hilly land in Buttrio, one of the "grand cru" of the Colli Orientali, who, stimulated by their friend (and authentic pillar of the Friulan terroir) Enzo Pontoni, if the name Miani tells you anything, decided to plant vineyards in one of the most recognized microzones of the small town, known as Obelisco by virtue of the curious monument that heads the hill. The obvious quality of the project combined with the tiny quantities immediately make it a small cult that remains hidden in the catalogues of numerous distributors in foreign markets. The wines are the result of classic and minimally interventionist winemaking in the light of the ill-concealed pride of being part of one of the most prized terroirs in the region.
