Laura Lorenzo got close to viticulture in 2000 and she gained experience in the Val de Bibei area, where she started working at the Dominio de Bibei winery, in the south-east area of ??Ribeira Sacra. In 2014, established in the singular area of ??Manzaneda (southeast limit within the denomination of origin Ribeira Sacra), it was launched in a personal project with the support of his partner Alvaro Dominguez, a professional cook, who supported him in viticulture. and in the cellar. Daterra is the collective fruit of collaboration with various winemakers who have been cultivating old vines for years (most of them planted in the first half of the twentieth century, some with more frankly) scattered around the Val do Bibei, in the area of ??Manzaneda and Pobra de Trives, and until 2015, on the other side of the Bibei River, already in the Valdeorras Denomination of Origin. Laura grows in collaboration with local farmers about thirty parcels, in a total area of ??4.5 hectares. The vines have different white and red grape varieties, and most of them are the native vines of Mencia, Mouraton, Garnacha tintureira, Gran Noir, Merenzao rosso, Dona Blanca, Colgadeira, Godello and Palomino bianco.
