A vineyard whose history dates back to 1640 today led by Claire Clavel descendant of a family who worked in this Domaine. The vineyard is mainly located in the village of St Gervais, with well exposed southern slopes, composed of sandy, clayey and calcareous soils along a cool and windy plateau.
The sustainable agriculture practiced inside is carried out in respect of the biodiversity of the ecosystem, each process is low impact and constantly monitored to find new useful techniques in tomorrow's viticulture. In line with this philosophy, Domaine Clavel joined Terra Vitis in 2010 to guarantee transparency, traceability and quality to its customers, in addition to a high certified environmental value. The moon has a real influence on the vines, but also on the different stages of winemaking. Wine is a 'living' product in continuous evolution over time. That's why, it is so important to consider lunar influences in all phases of the vineyard and cellar.
The Cote du Rhone Rouge Villages St. Gervais Syrius 2016 is obtained from Grenache, Syrah and Carignan.
