Description

Details of wine

The Domaine de Beaurenard represents the story of a family that has been producing wine for 7 generations in the splendid setting of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, a place that has become famous for the renowned symphony of the 13 vines.

At the base of all the production of this Domaine we find the attention for the earth and its entire ecosystem, sanctioned by the two certifications, organic and biodynamic, of which it can boast.

The vines grow in compliance with the life cycles of the plants, following the phases of the moon and aided by biodynamic compounds which avoid the use of any chemical element.

All this is made possible by the strictly handmade workings of men with which a series of Chateauneufs to remember are created.

The Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc 2017 is a splendid plot of 6 hand-picked vines, aged in steel and left to age in small vats and oak barrels for 6 months.

The wine that testifies to the love of this Domaine for white with seductive freshness and salinity.

Drinking it will seem to immerse you in the beautiful lands of Provence.

Name: Domaine de Beaurenard
Cultivated hectares: 32
Address: Chateayneuf du Pape (France)
Web Site: www.beaurenard.fr

In the 14th century, during their stays in Avignon, the popes – and especially Pope John XXII – built a papal castle in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Impressed by the area's exceptional soils, they established vineyards on the slopes surrounding the château and were instrumental in promoting the local wine's reputation around the world. Domaine de Beaurenard in Châteauneuf-du-Pape has been a family-run estate for seven generations. A notarial act dated 16 December 1695 mentions “Bois Renard”, which over time has become “Beaurenard”. The Coulon brothers, Daniel and Frédéric, have taken over from Paul and Régine and are striving to sustain tradition. The estate covers 32 hectares (a little under 80 acres) of vines in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and 25 hectares in the Côtes du Rhône Villages Rasteau AOC area.
