Description

Details of wine

Being a wine grower means loving, taking risks, making choices, respecting nature, time, people, hard work and sharing.
This thought summarizes the whole work of the Domaine de L’Enclos led by the brothers Romain and Damien.

Owners of about 9 hectares out of the four appellations in the heart of Chablis, since 2015 they have started the biological conversion of the entire estate.

The work is carried out in the vineyard by 12 people throughout the year using only products of natural origin, copper, sulfur and vegetable preparations.

The result of this attention to nature is a range of nuanced and structured wines with a typical minerality like this Chablis Village 2018.

A Chablis in which Chardonnay is pushed to the maximum expression with an impressive freshness combined in an excellent way with strong minerality.

Chablis who will find a long line of admirers.

Name: Domaine de l'Enclos
Cultivated hectares: 29
Address: 1 rue du Puits - Chablis (France)
Web Site: www.domainedelenclos.fr

The domaine de l'enclos is 29 hectares of vines, 6 hectares of which are certified organic and 23 hectares in conversion to organic. Our vines are located on the 4 levels of Chablis appellation and in particular on some of the most beautiful terroirs of the vineyard. The estate is located in the heart of Chablis in a large property, former residence of the monks of the Pontigny Abbey, including a large 19th century building and a partly underground cellar built in 2016.
