description
The Rancy estate is located in the Agly valley on a clay soil that enjoys a Mediterranean climate. Their vines are over 40 years old and are grown without the use of artificial fertilizers, using only products of biological origin.
Mourvedre 2014 was born in this area from a grape that ripens at the end of the season and which was often overlooked due to its unreliability. Despite this characteristic, the rancy estate has managed to obtain a valuable product characterized by a deep purple color, spicy nose with notes of berries. Its roundness is perceived in the mouth with a finish of great freshness.
Spicy and oriental cuisine enhance its characteristics, but it does not cancel a combination with white meats and vegetable dishes.
Rosso porpora intenso.
Naso compatto, frutti neri, nota minerale, spezie.
Rotondo, maturo, potente, dove le spezie si esprimono senza ritegno. Finale fresco, franco.
Stufati di carne, couscous, cucina piccante (cucina), cucina orientale (cucina).

The Rancy estate was established in the 1920. At the time, it was producing a wide range of sweet, dry red and rosé wines. In 1970, Marcel Verdaguer took over the estate. Given the increase in demand for natural sweet wines, he decided to hand over the responsibility of the red wine production to the village wine cellar and devote himself entirely to the production of Rivesaltes. In 2001, After renovating their wine cellar, they began producing dry red wines. They gradually stopped working for the village wine cooperative in order to produce "vins de terroir". In 2006, Delphine, our elder daughter, joins us partially on the domain and insures the wine making of the red vines. She created gradually a range of monovines (Carignan 2006) excellent wines of soil. In 2011, 1st date bio : Côtes du Roussillon Villages and IGP Côtes Catalanes : black Grenache.
