The "Camelot" of the Firriato winery is presented as a seductive and harmonious wine. Born from the union of two international grapes, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Combined these two vines are able to give structure and elegant aromas, the first, softness and fruity notes the second.
The vineyards are part of the Bagno Sorìa estate in the Agro di Trapani. They grow on clay soils at a height of about 300 meters above sea level. The grapes are harvested by hand, the Merlot in the first decade of September and the Cabernet Sauvignon after about ten days. The grapes are vinified separately, with fermentation at a controlled temperature of 25-27 ° C in stainless steel tanks. The wine then matures for about 9 months in French oak barriques and finishes the refining process with 6 months in bottle before being put on sale.
Camelot is a wine with an international profile but with some Mediterranean peculiarities. A very valid mix between the Bordeaux vines and the scents of Sicily. A wine that satisfies immediately, but its evolution in the bottle is also interesting.
