The Frappato "Sorìa" of the Firriato company is another delightful expression of native Sicilian grapes. It was born as an immediate, young, effervescent wine in that by performing only processing in steel it tends to enhance the freshness, fruit and minerality properties typical of this blend.
The vineyards are located in the Baglio di Sorìa estate on the outskirts of Trapani at about 200 meters above sea level and grow on clayey soils with the presence of marls, all managed according to the rules of a sustainable organic agriculture with zero impact. After the harvest we proceed with a short maceration on the skins and then spend a few weeks in steel vats.
This Frappato testifies to the great work done by the Firriato winery, a reality that in the last thirty years has contributed, together with other producers, to creating a real "new atmosphere" around Sicilian wine.
An extremely versatile bottle on the table, which therefore represents a valid rider for every occasion.
