Details of wine
A young and innovative project, based on a natural and sustainable production, this is Frus born from a bet by Francesco and Letizia sons of Marina Danieli at the head of the Azienda Agricola Marina Danieli.
Attention and respect for the environment are carried out within a selected terrain, where some of the most representative vines of the region find space such as Pinot Grigio and Tocai.
The Pinot Grigrio made from this cellar is a very particular rosé wine with great elegance and body.
A rosé produced by manual harvesting of the grapes and limiting human interventions, a typical expression of these wonderful lands that have always been protagonists of our wine history.

CELLAR
Name: Frus
Start-up year: 1890
Cultivated hectares: 35
Address: Buttrio (Friuli Venezia Giulia)
Founded at the end of 1800 and handed down from woman to woman for more than 100 years, today, Azienda Agricola Marina Danieli is one of the most important estates in the Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC area. It has 100 hectares of agricultural land including vineyards, arable land, woods, vegetable garden and orchards. In 1980 Luigi Danieli entrusted the management of the family business to his youngest daughter, Marina, handing down the traditional arts of winemaking and agriculture to her. Now Marina Danieli and her sons, Letizia and Francesco, are the fifth generation to run the company. Most of the vineyards are in the hilly area of Buttrio in Monte and enjoy perfect exposure. Of these vineyards, some 50/60 years old plots have been selected to carry out a new project that will take hold in 2015. This is the FRUS project - son and fruit in Friulian - which, at the instigation of Luca Gargano, together with his sons and Fabio Luglio, is only suited to sustainable and natural production. The varieties initially processed were tocai friulano, pinot grigio, refosco and tazzelenghe, through vinification aimed at the natural expression of the berry and the territory.
