Description

Details of wine

The history of the Goisot estate has its roots in the 14th century, in the Yonne department within the heart of the northernmost Burgundy.

Today its traditions are carried on by Ghislaine and Jean-Hugues, who after taking over the company in 1979, decide to devote themselves to the production of wines with full respect for nature.

The natural approach is certified through two important awards: the Ecocert organic certification (2001) and the biodynamic certification Demeter (2005).

Inside the vineyard, only natural products and manual processes are used to safeguard the vineyard and ecosystem.

In this environment, Burgundy expression wines are born, among which this Bourgogne Cotes d'Auxerre Gueules de Loup 2017, obtained from 100% Chardonnay.

Our family estate has its origins since the 14th century and is located in the wine village of Saint Bris le Vineux since the Middle Ages; it is surrounded by Irancy, Chablis and Auxerre. In the heart of the vineyards of northern Burgundy in the department of Yonne (less than two hours from Paris), the estate covers 30 hectares and includes the municipalities of Saint-Bris, Irancy and Chablis. In 1979 we founded the family business and we always wanted to pay attention to the land. After adopting the organic farming method for many years, we have obtained an ECOCERT certification since 2001. In 2005, our son Guilhem and his wife Marie, who have the same respect for the land, join the company, which was awarded the same year by DEMETER for biodynamic certification. For many years, we have worked on vineyards in the respect of denominations, consumers, people who work for the estate and, of course, the environment with a know-how that combines tradition and modernism.
