description
Valuing the wine heritage and producing wines that follow the traditions linked to the territory is the mission of this company born on the school benches where five young people meet and start this adventure called Azienda il Verro.
The company became the ambassador of the native Caserta varieties in the world, including Pallagrello, Casavecchia and Coda di Pecora. Among these a special mention deserves the Coda di Pecora, a white with a straw yellow color where scents of fresh fruit, broom flowers and mint dominate.
On the palate it is dry, rightly warm, with a flavor and a good freshness. Excellent persistence.
Excellent in combination with shellfish, it deserves to be tried also in accompaniment with vegetables in batter, buffalo mozzarella and spaghetti with mussels and clams.
Giallo paglierino.
Buona intensità olfattiva di nespola, gelso, bergamotto, ginestra, eucalipto e origano.
Morbida la prima sensazione al palato poi si manifesta fresco, sapido e di buona struttura. A chiudere dominante scia citrina.
Ottimo in abbinamento ai crostacei, merita di esser provato anche in accompagnamento a ortaggi in pastella, mozzarella di bufala campana e spaghetti con cozze e vongole.

We are in Formicola in the upper Caserta downstream of the Monte Maggiore center of the Casavecchia Doc. Here we have always devoted ourselves to hunting wild boar and precisely from the name of the male animal, which in dialect was "U Verru" was born the name of the farm Il Verro, realized thanks to the continuation of a long friendship, consummated since the times of high school, of 5 friends with the desire to return to the solid origins, never forgotten, of the native land. Thus in 2003 they acquired an old maltenuto vineyard consisting mainly of Casavecchia grapes, then with targeted investments it gave birth to an ambitious entrepreneurial activity. Today the results are collected with a production of about 20,000 bottles resulting from the vinification of 3 niche vines in the area: Casavecchia, Pallagrello Bianco and Pallagrello Nero. To these was added the lesser known Coda di Pecora, an ancient cutting grape of good vigor and rather resistant to the elements; this is how the white Sheep was born, a sheep in English, one of the first to be vinified in purity, a growing wine thanks to the will of the partners to deepen the study and thus enhance the grape variety. 4 hectares of vineyards rich in mineral and lava substances, bred with the traditional Guyot system.
