Historical label of the territory: This wine was originally produced in the 1960s and 1970s by the estate Villa del Ferro Lazzarini, from whom we recently purchased their vineyards.
This wine is dedicated to its creator Alfredo Lazzarini; it holds a history of the Colli Berici that must not be forgotten.
One of the first vintages produced by Alfredo Lazzarini was defined by the great wine and gastronomic journalist Luigi Veronelli as an "unimaginable wine, comparable because of its esoteric charm to the best Paulliac." Veronelli considered the Colli Berici as one of the best areas for the Bordelaise varieties, alongside the Bolgheri area.
Selection of the original Merlot pergola, which are 50 years old.
On the palate wild berries with a final of undergrowth, cocoa and coffee. Soft and round, with a good freshness.
Elegant nose of berries and plums, together with muldberry, pine and hints of clove.
12 months in used barrique.

After working in the Veneto for more than half a century we are more aware than ever that there is still much to discover. But a few things have been clear from the beginning. In order to produce 'classic' wines, wines that faithfully reflect not only tradition but also the terroir from which they have risen, it is essential to have the following:
· A unique environment suited to grape production
· A variety adapted to that environment
· The patience, the passion and the ability to encourage without overwhelming
Day after day, year after year, we try to understand and interpret these factors.
