Founded in the 1960s, the Lungarotti company has brought prestige to the whole region of Umbria, becoming a point of reference for the entire wine-growing movement.
In 2017 the process of conversion to organic farming of the entire Montefalco estate was concluded with the debut of the first organic wine during Vinitaly.
Winery that has always been at the forefront of green and eco-sustainable production, embraces the V.I.V.A. which guarantees companies a tool for diagnosing the impacts of the wine product, and at the same time a means of guarantee and transparency for the consumer.
The Sagrantino di Montefalco, obtained from one of the oldest autochthonous vines in the region, ferments in steel with maceration on the skins. It ages in barrique for 12 months before being bottled and put on the market.
Red with great freshness and intensity, striking for the hints of currants and raspberries, mixed with notes of tobacco and cocoa. Enveloping flavor with strong and harmonious tannins. Wine with a grandiose finish that is enhanced with roasts and game.

Color

Rosso rubino profondo e dalle tonalità violacee.

Smell

Ampio e di grande complessità; esprime subito un bel ventaglio di frutti rossi (mirtillo e visciola) con eleganti note boisé (cacao, spezie dolci e china); profumi prolungati e molto armonici.

Taste

Struttura potente, di bella concentrazione e fresco nel frutto; fragrante acidità e tannini fitti e maturi; persistente nel finale.

Pairings

Arrosti di carne rossa, maialino, cacciagione e selvaggina alla ghiotta, fagiano in salmì e spezzatino di capriolo, formaggi piccanti e palombacci all' umbra.
