Description

Details of wine

Lungarotti is the name of a winemaking tradition that has made Umbria wine famous all over the world.
Always at the forefront of eco-sustainable production, it bases its activity on respect for the soil's biodiversity and all that surrounds it.
Proof of this corporate philosophy is the recognition of the V.I.V.A. Certification, first in Umbria to obtain it and ninth at national level, it provides companies with a tool for diagnosing the impacts of the wine product, and at the same time a means of guarantee and transparency for the consumer.

Lungarotti San Giorgio was born in 1977 and was the first example of a great blend of Cabernet and Sangiovese, we could call it a Superumbriam in which both vines are enhanced.

The label shows a Uffizi painting courtesy of Mibac, where the traditional festival of San Giorgio in Torgiano is honored with the bonfires in the vineyards.

Founded in the early 60's by Giorgio Lungarotti, the company soon became a driving force that opened up new opportunities not only for Torgiano but for the whole of Umbria too: wine as the centerpiece of a very high quality touristic and productive center, and cornerstone of a highly integrated promotional tool for the whole region.
