Description
The calcareous and clayey soil typical of this area south of Lake Garda makes this Lugana "Cement" particularly interesting. It expresses particular freshness and minerality typical of all the wines of the Marangona company. The fermentation on the skins takes place in truncated conical cement tanks, then going on to a refinement on its own feces for about 10 months.
Its bouquet is composed of flowers and fruits with white pulp, bitter almond and white pepper; it is firm and persistent on the palate, with very sweet tannins.
The combination with lake fish such as trout, perch, whitefish, and soft and delicate cheeses is very pleasant.

The Marangona was the bell that marked the carpenters' working hours, and in Pozzolengo it used to hang from the Corte Marangona, a farmhouse from the seventeenth century in which, since 1973, the winery of the same name has been operating. Now in its third generation, the winery concentrates on the production of Lugana, offering different versions: among these we like to mention the selection, the Lugana Classico Tre Campane, the Lugana Vendemmia Tardiva Rabbiosa, with November harvest of partly botrytized grapes, and the Lugana Cemento, clear reference to the container in which fermentation with maceration takes place
