Details of wine
Only the most suitable areas and the most careful workmanship allow us to grant the luxury of late harvesting. Practice that allows the development of noble molds that embellish the nectar of bacchus with unique scents. This is what happens also for the Marangona Vendemmia Tardiva "Rabbioso". Left in the vineyard until November, the cool damp of autumn creates the fine veiling and the enrichment of sweetness. The product is in perfect balance. Inviting as the best of desserts but never too cloying.
In the glass it shows a golden yellow color. The nose aromas recall aromas of candied fruit and sweet spices. In the mouth it is enveloping, warm, characterized by a sweet taste that is never too invasive. Closes with a long finish.
Dry pastries and blue cheeses are his ideal companions in pairings.

CELLAR
Name: Marangona
Start-up year: 1973
Cultivated hectares: 30
Winemaker name: Paolo Posenato, Alessandro Cutolo
Address: Loc. Marangona 1 - Pozzolengo (BS)
Web Site: marangona.com
The Marangona was the bell that marked the carpenters' working hours, and in Pozzolengo it used to hang from the Corte Marangona, a farmhouse from the seventeenth century in which, since 1973, the winery of the same name has been operating. Now in its third generation, the winery concentrates on the production of Lugana, offering different versions: among these we like to mention the selection, the Lugana Classico Tre Campane, the Lugana Vendemmia Tardiva Rabbiosa, with November harvest of partly botrytized grapes, and the Lugana Cemento, clear reference to the container in which fermentation with maceration takes place
