Marchand family and Grillot family were both similar to the vine, well rooted in the vineyard bourguignon.En Indeed, we must go back seven generations to find the man who first became interested in the vineyard to make the best, the side of Morey-St-Denis Marchand and for Gevrey-Chambertin for Grillot. In 1950, through a marriage was born the field Marchand-Grillot and it will be permanently located in Gevrey-Chambertin. Today is Jacques Marchand, who is the head of the field, conveying a knowledge passed down for generations and a great experience. At his side Etienne Marchand, his son, who gradually returns to the reins. After a career in wine school, it ends with a BTS wine trade in Paris. During his student years he went enrich their knowledge in the United States, among winemakers in Oregon. Thanks to him, the field took advantage of a new dynamic, but also a modern face to the working techniques, while keeping the same spirit of continuity of expertise. Indeed Marchand-Grillot Family has always worked to develop the tradition of wine, respecting the pinot noir and its soil, as in the various works of vines in winemaking.
