Tradition and experimentation have always characterized the history of the Abbona Winery, positioned on the slopes of the splendid Langhe hills.
Production has never compromised, wine is made not to obtain good reviews but to express the territory from which it comes.

The vineyards located in the municipalities of Dogliani, Monforte d'Alba and Novello, are worked on sustainable agriculture, with non-invasive practices and hand-operated washing.

The Marziano Abbona Dogliani San Luigi 2019 comes from the Dolcetto grape variety worked entirely in steel.

The wine obtained shines for freshness and easy drinking, maintaining structure and elegance.

Smell

La frutta rossa prevale sul floreale, con fragola e ciliegia in primo piano.

Taste

In bocca ritorna la frutta del ricordo olfattivo, la buona acidità tipica del Dolcetto di Dogliani si manifesta e si chiude con un tannino sempre delicato ed avvolgente.

Vino per eccellenza da tutto pasto. L'ideale per apprezzare una cucina gustosa e ricca; dagli antipasti caldi ai secondi piatti, splendido con i fritti misti e piatti con tartufo, primi in brodo e asciutti, carni bollite e in umido.

REFINEMENT In vasche d'acciaio sino all'imbottigliamento. Quindi riposo in bottiglia a temperatura costante di 14 °C per due mesi prima della commercializzazione.
WINEMAKING Diraspa-pigiatura a cui segue la fermentazione alcolica, spontanea a mezzo di lieviti indigeni, a contatto con le bucce in vasche d'acciaio a temperatura controllata di 25-28 °C. Durata 25 giorni. Svinatura a secco e sfecciatura con travaso in vasche in acciaio. stabilizzazione a freddo che evita l'impiego di prodotti per la chiarifica. Fermentazione malolattica: completamente svolta in acciaio subito dopo la fermentazione alcolica.

Our house plunges its roots the everyday tradition of wine, a passion for tastes and scents renewing itself from past to future generations with a cultural patrimony evolving with the best care and devotion. The Langhe are based on soils of Miocenic origin of Helvetian type, composed by clayey marls rich in active limestone. Its layout, looking like dolphin's backs, suggests a geometry varying continuously the exposure to the solar arc. Sun, water and land are fundamental elements for the well-done success of a good year. Doriolo, San Luigi, Rinaldi are names reminding immediately some of the most prestigious exposures of the Langa's territory, where a generous sun matches with an almost perfect composition of the soil.
