Details of wine
The Batar of the Querciabella company can be defined as a great Tuscan white wine in French style. In fact, in addition to the use of two international vines such as Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco, it matures for about 9 months in barrique, thanks to which it acquires a structure and a complexity that make it from a particularly evolved aromatic point of view.
The Battar was born in the Ruffoli area of ??Greve in Chianti, on hills between 350 and 600 meters above sea level. The philosophy adopted is strictly linked to the dogmas of biodynamic culture. Therefore the vineyards are in perfect balance with the surrounding environment, guaranteeing low suitable yields to optimize production quality.
The grapes used in a 50% blend are vinified separately, always respecting the spontaneous fermentations and indigenous yeasts.
The final result is a great white wine, with a personality, suitable for aging in the bottle. On the nose it is particularly complex where fresh scents of fruit and flowers blend with delicately spicy notes.
A wine that at the table could support and enhance large, even challenging dishes.

Color
Oro chiaro, brillante.

Smell
Profumo dilagante d'eleganza e in ampiezza.

Querciabella presently produces four wines from the vineyards of its Chianti Classico estate in Greve in Chianti. Batàr is a blend of Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay; Camartina is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese; Palafreno is a monovarietal Merlot, while Querciabella is a Chianti Classico DOCG. Mongrana, a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, was the first wine to be released from Querciabellas Alberese (Maremma) estate. Querciabella is planning to introduce more wines from this region in the near future.
