Details of wine

Mongrana is the expression par excellence of the colors and sounds of the Maremma: fruity and intense, fresh and enveloping. The grapes are hand-picked in small boxes and no animal products are used to make them suitable for vegans and vegetarians. The techniques used follow the techniques of organic and biodynamic agriculture, The ruby red color, combined with a hint of tobacco make this perfect to be accompanied with grilled red meats and aged cheeses.

Querciabella presently produces four wines from the vineyards of its Chianti Classico estate in Greve in Chianti. Batàr is a blend of Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay; Camartina is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese; Palafreno is a monovarietal Merlot, while Querciabella is a Chianti Classico DOCG. Mongrana, a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon, was the first wine to be released from Querciabella’s Alberese (Maremma) estate. Querciabella is planning to introduce more wines from this region in the near future.
