    Classification AOC Châteauneuf du Pape
More firm and backwards, the Châteauneuf du Pape Les Hauts Lieux is a longer-term prospect. Big minerality, dark fruits, iron, steel and licorice all emerge from the glass. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, edgy and concentrated, with building tannin. Give this beauty 4-5 years in the cellar and enjoy for next 20 years. It should be one of the longest lived efforts in the vintage.

    Alcol 15.50%
Wine zones Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, Cinsault, Counoise
    Vintage 2012
    Classification AOC Châteauneuf du Pape
While I normally find the Les Hauts Lieux more compelling, in this vintage I prefer the Châteauneuf du Pape Les Trois Sources. Gorgeously perfumed and voluptuous, with fabulous blackberry, licorice, citron, salty minerality and hints of violet, this beauty flows onto the palate with full-bodied richness, building tannin and terrific length. The texture here is brilliant, and while it will benefit from 2-4 years in the cellar, this puppy is hard to resist now.

  10. Domaine A.F. Gros Savigny Les Beaune 1er Cru 2015
    Format 0,75 L Standard
    Alcol 13.00%
    Wine zones 100% Pinot Nero
    Vintage 2015
    Classification AOC Savigny les Beaune
Wine that comes from a vineyard of about 1.27 hectares, located in the north of the hills overlooking Beaune, in whose land prevail clay and silt. Proverbial wine for its color, intensity and brightness, played on soft tones, far from the best, deep densities of the most traditional Beaune's terroirs, because it is more centrally located on the fruity pleasures of small redcurrants of undergrowth and above all on a weft tannic rather delicate, without compromising a satisfactory complexity, which in the '15 version amplifies its vestiges, raising the tones of the overall average quality of the product. Very versatile at the table.
