    Classification IGT Toscano o Toscana
This great red wine is a rather newly expression of Argiano's winegrowing potential compared to its red wines made from Sangiovese. 'Solengo', a Tuscan word meaning 'lone wild boar', marries Tuscan soil with French grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Syrah. This high profile blend has evident Mediterranean characteristics and a solar character. Its grace and gentleness enable an early drinking, nevertheless, the wine has extraordinary aging potential.

  3. Tenuta di Trinoro Tenuta di Trinoro 2013
    Format 0,75 L Standard
    Alcol 15.00%
Wine zones 50% Cabernet Franc, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot
    Vintage 2013
    Classification IGT Toscano o Toscana
2013 was serene during most of the growing season, with little rain but covered skies; summer temperatures were very unusual because they averaged 26°C instead of our typical 36°C (79°F instead of 97°F). In the cool environment, it was the plants' own growing efforts that ripened the grapes, not really the sun. The obscure metabolism continues after the berries were separated from the plant, after they were fermented, and it drives forward in the wines even now, years before they can start aging.

    Classification DOCG Morellino di Scansano
The variety Morellino, technically defined "a" strain of the much more famous Sanvgiovese is typical of the Scansano area, from which the famous DOCG. Legend has it that the variety derives its name from the dark color (slightly dark) Peel similar to the color of the coat of those Maremmani horses locally "Morelli". The location south of Tuscany and proximity to the Tyrrhenian Sea offer hot growing seasons that allow the grapes to fully mature and develop high levels of sugar. The result is a wine full-bodied, solid and complex but not "difficult" to appreciate it as sometimes happens for many supertuscans. Despite riconosimenti and preferences given to this variety, Morellino still escapes the masses and remains in fact one of the "hidden gems" Tuscan oenology.
