It is striking how already in 1854 Regaleali was awarded as a "model farm" in the Annals of Sicilian Agriculture. At that time, the vineyards occupied a small portion of the cultivation, as the production of cereals and fodder was the main activity in the area. Over the years, the Estate's winemaking vocation has been consolidated thanks to the strategies put in place by the various protagonists who have alternated with its management, from Count Giuseppe to Count Lucio to arrive at the current generation, Alberto and Giuseppe. The production of wine has first tried, in the use of traditional varieties, such as Nero d'Avola and Inzolia, to expand, later, in the testing of international varieties and then their use with great success. "Regaleali has a very strong and very clear DNA, all we Tasca can do is preserve this character and try not to compromise what nature has given to this place. With these words Alberto testifies the attention he dedicates to sustainability and motivates the birth, in 2010, of SOStain, a Sicilian program of "green" viticulture: a planned and progressive improvement, which goes hand in hand with scientific research, aimed at reducing the impact of all business activities on the resources of the territory. All this without losing sight of the quality of the wines produced. In fact, this year's tasting has highlighted an extremely well-kept and excellent level of production.
