Description
In the late 1970s, a number of selected sangiovese and colorino clones were planted at Poggio Rosso. This elegantly concentrated reserve is made from the painstaking selection of these grapes. Since the 2004 harvest, the original blend has been enriched with a small addition of pugnitello. Produced primarily in vintage years, the wine is conditioned in 500-litre ‘tonneaux’ for about 20 months and for a further 15 months in the bottle.
Rosso rubino intenso.
Il naso è molto pronunciato con sentori di prugna, mora e lampone.
Vino di straordinaria longevità, di sapore pieno, con tannini morbidi ed una equilibrata acidità.

Defining Agricola San Felice as a "project" means that it is something more than just an agricultural operation, and also because of the many branches of its activities. In particular, since it became part of the Allianz Group SpA, San Felice has grown in quantity and quality of its commitments on the wine front, especially scientific research. Side by side, the commitments have to hospitality services, livestock breeding, and environmental protection. All this presupposes not only a professional organization and experienced very evolved, but also a sophisticated business culture, as well as a work ethic and a common purpose that is an example of entrepreneurship that we are proud. The goodness of the San Felice project is amply demonstrated by the success, the constant growth and the numerous awards received.
