San Giovanni organic Winery, founded in 1970, comes from a long standing family tradition of wine making and extends on the striking and charming Piceno hills, just a few kilometers from Offida, a splendid, medieval town, rich in tradition and folkloristic events. The farm, immersed in the fascinating green hills, extends across a 30 hectares of vineyard, and is located in one of the best growing areas of the Marche Region. The vineyards, re-organized according to the dictates of organic farming and situated at an average height of 320 metres above sea level, are mainly planted to typical local varieties like Passerina, Pecorino, Trebbiano, Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes. The clayey soil is perfect for growing grapes thanks to the adriatic microclimate: the summers are cooled by the sea breezes and the winters are mitigated by the warmth of the sun. The winery is always committed to improving the quality of its wines through the meticulous care of the vineyards, the use of growing methods that respect the environment and a strong connection with territory and tradition.
