The Santa Barbara company has asked since the beginning of his two goals: the revival of native grapes, Verdicchio and Montepulciano, and the creation of wines from "international taste" that had originality and great personality. The task we have set ourselves is certainly not an easy one, but the wine takes courage combined with a hint of recklessness. In view of verdicchi, already known to Pignocco White, The Vaglie and Stefano Antonucci, this year you add the "Late Late but not" classic Verdicchio surmaturato plan 2001 vintage. We are very pleased with the quality, after four attempts in previous vintages we managed to get a very particular wine, which contains musk fragrances, along with highly persistent; characteristics that bode well in a good longevity. Still a novelty, "The Male from Mount" in purity Montepulciano aged in oak barrels, the first vintage 2000 vintage was a great success, achieving even the "5 Bunches" AIS Help 2003 ". It 'a wine with strong links to our region that enhances the strengths of this large, but extremely difficult grape. The intense aromas of cherries and berries have been intrigued and attracted consumers who have made it their favorite. We develop, finally, the second point of the program: in this context arises the Pathos of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah in equal parts, but with a difference: All three grapes are grown in the same vineyard that makes it really interesting . Aged in French oak "new" to the 2000 harvest has already shown signs of great personality. Much more convincing the 2001 edition with even more hints of berries vertical combined with a remarkable elegance. The Santa Barbara continues still in its experimental research tends always to enhance the products of our great land
