Start-up year: 2000
Winemaker name: Sergio Arcuri

Our company, began in Cirò in 1880 with great-grandfather Peppe, having a strong passion for the cultivation of the vine and a great spirit of sacrifice, with simple agricultural tools, worked the land and transported the harvest with horses and donkeys. Our father Peppe, born in 1931, already at the age of 9 years alongside his grandfather in the cultivation of the vineyard, inherited from him experience and technique as a winemaker, soon becoming grafter and grower of vines (there are hundreds of hectares of vines grafted by him successfully during his youth) as well as qualified producer of genuine red wine, made from his own "gaglioppo" grapes typical of the area. He opened his own winery in 1973, continuing the activities of production and sale of bulk wine, thus meeting the demands of increasingly numerous and demanding customers. Since 2009, after the modernization of my father's winery, Sergio, my brother Francesco and I, assisted by my father, started the bottling of our wine. So far we produce a superior classic red Cirò "Aris" and a rosé "Il Marinetto", they come from exclusively organic vineyards, of which two hectares are planted with low yield sapling, 60/70ql per hectare (one hectare planted in 1945, the other in 1980), instead about two hectares were planted in 2005 with spurred cordon.
