The estate covers 130 hectares Mottura in a territory rich in natural resources, including clay gullies of Civitella d'Agliano and Tevere.Questa Valley area, free from urban and industrial settlements, still offers wild landscapes, dotted with forests , lakes and streams in a setting of unspoilt, despite the proximity of large cities like Rome and Florence. The estate belongs to the family since 1933 Mottura who wanted to preserve the rich natural heritage. In the sixties began the modernization of the company: from sharecropping to run it passed to the direct and began to search for an optimum use of land where the vine has its own habitat. The wine vocation of these hills was known since 1292, when the registers of the register of Orvieto that was defined between the areas chosen for the production of the wine of the same name.
