Slavcek is one of the oldest Slovenian wineries, a synthesis of tradition and respect for the environment, where wines are created in a traditional way following the dictates of organic agriculture.
Today the ancestors of the Vodopidec family, Franc with his wife Alenka and their two sons Andrej and Toma? manage the company carrying on the ancient traditions and also embracing the principles of the Triple "A" manifesto.
One of the most representative wines of this cellar is Ribolla Gialla, a fresh macerated white that combines power and elegance.
The production begins with the manual harvesting of the grapes, selecting the best bunches to guarantee excellent quality. Maceration on the skins, manual pressing and spontaneous fermentation follow. The wine will refine 2 years in wood to mature all its qualities.
A great classic that always manages to conquer everyone.

Name: Slavcek Start-up year: 1769 Cultivated hectares: 10 Address: Potok 29 - Dornberk (Slovenija) Web Site: http://www.slavcek.si/
According to ancient documents, the Slav?ek farm was established back in 1769: still owned by the ancestors of the Vodopivec family, the farm is named Slav?ek - nightingale - a name given to the presence of a multitude of nightingales in the vicinity. Today it is father Franc, wife Alenka and two sons Andrej and Toma who run the farm.
The land, mainly cultivated with wine, extends over 10-11 hectares and has vines: Ribolla gialla, Klarnica Malvasia, Pinot Grigio, Merlot, Barbera, Refosco, Cabarnè Sauvignon, Muscat giallo, Rizling Italico. The vineyards lie on the edge of the hills, on a steep slope, whose soils have rocky and marly components, which give the wine a characteristic mineral flavour. Manual harvesting and the use of sulphur and copper in minimum doses are the basis for organic farming.
The heart of the company's philosophy lies in the optimal processing of the grapes, giving importance to the precision and wisdom typical of the ancestors, to achieve harmony and respect for the peculiarities of each wine. The most representative wines of the company are: Ribolla Gialla, Pinot Grigio, Klarnica, Barbera, Merlot and the classic method sparkling wine called Vitoria.
