Tenuta Sette Ponti is located in the heart of Chianti, in a picturesque corner of Tuscany not far from Arezzo is one of the Moretti family owned since the 50s when the architect Alberto Moretti, the area attracted by the rich and hunting this game from there (deer, wild boars, pheasants, hares and even deer in the mantle yellow), buys the first 50 acres directly by the princesses Margaret and Maria Cristina di Savoia Aosta, daughters of the Duke Amedeo of Aosta. In turn, the two princesses had purchased the property from the Grand Duke Leopold of Habsburg, which was responsible for the birth of the "Vineyard of Pallino" at the end of 1800. The oldest vineyard dates back to 1935 and has always been called the "Vineyard of the Empire" was planted by His Royal Highness the Duke Amedeo of Aosta, viceroy of Ethiopia, and named to commemorate the victory of the war in Africa and the birth of Italian Colonial Empire with the conquest of Abyssinia. To this end, the Duke commissioned his uncle HRH Emanuele Filiberto Count of Turin, General Designate of the Army and General of Cavalry, to personally work to achieve in the shortest possible time the vineyard. Work proceeded with difficulty, because of a drop of 30%, which forced him to fill the land and its subsequent terracing is still visible, and ended in 1939.
