Tenuta Viglione is a continuously expanding company. It grows 370 acres of vineyards at the average altitude of 450 m. The main varietal is Primitivo, but other indigenous grapes are grown, too: Verdeca, Falanghina, Fiano Minutolo, Negroamaro, Nero di Troia, Aleatico, Susumaniello. The organic method of agriculture and winemaking is certified since 2005. The winery has been recently built, but it's already undergoing a further expansion. It has cooled stainless steel tanks, autoclaves for making sparkling wines, a room with barriques for aging wines, a complete bottling line from the sterilization of bottles to the palletization of cartons. The yearly production goes from 800,000 bottles to one million. There's a photovoltaic system.
