Smell

Naso ricco di spezie con cannella e chiodo di garofano, poi liquirizia, tabacco ed infine sottobosco. A rappresentanza della frutta ci sono ciliegie e fragole, che si abbandonano ad un finale balsamico.

Taste

Sorso corposo, intenso, dalla fitta trama tannica perfettamente integrata. E' l'incredibile freschezza di questo vino che allieta un finale lungo.

Pairings

Un rosso che si abbina a qualsiasi piatto a base di carne rossa, selvaggina e formaggi stagionati.

The name of the company comes from a detail of a large fresco of 1400, located in the local church of S. Maria in Piano. In the precious representation of the Universal Judgment, the "tower of the Blessed One" is the ultimate goal that, with great effort and difficult trials, tend to be the souls just passed in the afterlife. This parable reflects the inspirational principle of our activity, which is based on the desire to express, through careful selections in the vineyard and in the cellar, the best of the native vines we cultivate in the particularly well-liked territory of Loreto Aprutino. Our family-run company was born in 1999 when we decided to take over the vineyard cultivated for many years by Father Rocco. Convinced of the impossibility of dissociating the concept of quality of wine from that of its genuineness, we immediately convert the vineyard to the biological method, and it's 2000's our first bottle. At the first production core, located on the ground floor of the old rural house in the center of the vineyard, there is a wine cellar and a new wine cellar. At the same time our range of products expands with the study of significant variations on the theme of Montepulciano, followed by new vineyards of Pecorino and Trebbiano. We cultivate 21 hectares in Loreto Aprutino, between 250 and 300 meters above sea level, 25 kilometers from the Adriatic, on the first hillside clay-limestone foothills that close the valley of the Tavo stream rising to the 3000 meters of the Gran Sasso d'Italia, the highest peak of the Apennines. The particular position makes the vine constantly rise during the day of temperate air coming from the sea, and the night, especially in the last month of ripening, of the cold coming down from the mountain, already in September whitewashed with snow. The Abruzzi Pergola represents the type of planting of the oldest vineyards, while the high-density sparrows are the latest plants. Agronomic practices vary depending on the type of plant, the vine characteristics, and the single soil particle, always aiming at finding a natural vegeto-productive equilibrium oriented towards obtaining limited quantities. Grape harvesting takes place only with successive scalar harvesting, selecting only perfectly healthy and ripe bunches each time on each plant and allowing others to gain more concentration until the next harvest. Cultivation takes place using biological methods, certified according to European laws.
