The story of Maison J.Charpentier is a story that began 5 generations in the Marne Valley, in the heart of the Champagne region not far from Epernay.

The history of Champagne J. Charpentier began five generations ago. Union of Pierre and Marguerite Charpentier born three sons, Marcellin who took over from his father in 1946. Marcellin began developing the champagne in 1954 with Marcellin brand Charpentier. He and his wife, Solange, have three children, including Jacky, born in 1949. In 1960, Marcellin dies prematurely and Solange continued her husband's work with the support Jacky and his brothers. In 1983 there was the first expansion of the cellar and in 1987 was introduced in the cellar a great technological innovation: thermoregulation. At that time very few winemakers they were equipped. In 1997 he started a new method of vinification with wooden barrels and 200L. Claudine Charpentier and Jacky had two sons, Jean Marc, the eldest, was born in 1979 and also Marie-Pierre, who was born in 1988. After obtaining his scientific baccalaureate, Jean Marc received his BTS Viticulture and Enology passion for wine encourages him to take the National diploma in Oenology (DNO) and after two years become a wine master and marketing.
