Historical label of the territory: This wine was originally produced in the 1960s and 1970s by the estate Villa del Ferro Lazzarini, from whom we recently purchased their vineyards. This wine is dedicated to its creator Alfredo Lazzarini; it holds a history of the Colli Berici that must not be forgotten. One of the first vintages produced by Alfredo Lazzarini was defined by the great wine and gastronomic journalist Luigi Veronelli as an "unimaginable wine, comparable because of its esoteric charm to the best Paulliac." Veronelli considered the Colli Berici as one of the best areas for the Bordelaise varieties, alongside the Bolgheri area. Selection of the original Merlot pergola, which are 50 years old.

The idea, as already with the Vulcaia Sauvignon, is to show value of the Soave the territory, not yet with its Classic wine, but with an interpretation of the Sauvignon. This version, made from a super-selection of grapes, is fermented in oak, and we call it Vulcaia Fumé. Since the start, there's been a great interest because of its opulence and its powerful characteristic of tropical fruit, coffee, citrus and floral notes. Interpretation of the Sauvignon on volcanic soil, in the Soave Classico area. Production transcends the styles and trends of the moment. No competitors: UNIQUE WINE IN ITS CATEGORY, THERE ARE NO SIMILAR WINES.

    Format 0,75 L Standard
    Alcol 13.50%
Wine zones 30% Merlot, 10% Raboso Veronese, 60% Carmènere
    Vintage 2015
    Classification IGT Veneto
?Più' means ?more' in Italian and there's more than just Carmenere in this typical blend from the Colli Berici, a line of gently rolling volcanic hills in Italy's north-east. Planted here since time immemorial, Raboso is a forgotten hero that we re-introduced in 2001. The iron-rich clay soil over a limestone base is perfect for Bordeaux varieties and Carmenere, introduced in the 19th century, suffered from amnesia for decades. Cabernet Franc it most definitely is not ? the soy sauce, cocoa and grainy tannins ought to have been unmistakeable. Merlot is a civilising influence, the plumy accent and refined tannins marry well with a touch of French oak.
